A WORLD WITHOUT ISLAM

Though the title may sound provocative, but the intent of the book was not to see how the world would be if Islam had never existed, rather to examine east-west antagonisms and consider if they would still exist without its influence.

BUT, to say Indian Civilization is unrecognizable without the Mughal elements is rather far fetched and very arrogant. The Indian Civilization stretches way back and its mass contribution towards civilization itself are immense! The author certainly didn't get that chapter right. (My opinion)
My understanding of Islam is what I have seen and heard from my childhood friends and it is beautiful. I mean, look at my Muslim friends...what's not to like about them or what is there to fear them? They are good human beings and that is all that I need to see in them.
Having said that, this book is very academic in answering whether it's the religion that causes conflict or the geopolitics itself. Loved the historical highlights in this book.
The arguments presented in this book are quite logical and easy to understand. I found myself knowing a lot more about middle east regions. Basically, this book is good for those who wants to see the issues of war on terrorism from a different perspective.
For those who think Islam is the source of today's world problems, this book may dismantle that notion and also helps to dismantle prejudice toward Islam.
Is Islam the enemy we think it is? The honest answer is certainly NO but if the fundamental teachings of Islam isn't violence, who do we hold responsible?
For what it is worth, all the problems in this world are not solely due to religion but I still believe that religion is A problem because religion will always act as a source of motivation. We hide behind these man made things to avoid taking responsibilities towards our own actions. If we believed in God and that He is watching, how can we cause such grievous pain to each other?
Can we live without religion? Yes we can. Can we live with religion? Yes we can but by keeping it personal... I guess. A compassionate and dignified life would give the Creator joy than seeing you harming each other in His name.
It doesn't make an iota of difference to me if you are religious or a God fearing person but what matters is seeing everyone being able to lift each other because every atom in you, wants you to. You want to do it because it is the right thing to do without anyone or anything telling you to do so. That makes this world magical.

Ravana: A Man of Great Potential and Terrible Mistakes by LordSeeths

Ravana’s story in the Ramayana is not just about a villain trying to defeat the good guy, but about a human being with real flaws, struggles, and contradictions. His character resonates with so many of the complexities we face in our own lives his virtues and vices aren’t black and white, they’re a mix of light and shadow, much like how we all struggle with our strengths and weaknesses. Ravana: A Man of Great Potential and Terrible Mistakes 1.   The Scholar and The Devotee At the heart of Ravana is wisdom and devotion. He’s not some mindless monster but he’s a highly learned scholar, a gifted musician, and a devoted worshiper of Shiva. If you think about it, he’s the kind of person who’s achieved great heights in life through his own hard work and spiritual discipline. Just like many of us, Ravana strives for meaning and connection with the divine. His devotion to Shiva is so intense that he writes the famous Shiva Tandava Stotra, a hymn of ...

Mahabharata Simplified by LordSeeths

The Mahabharata is one of the two great epics of ancient Indian literature, the other being the Ramayana . It's a complex and multi-layered text, with stories, teachings, and philosophical lessons that have shaped Indian culture for thousands of years. At its core, the Mahabharata is a story of the Kurukshetra War , a grand battle between two groups of cousins—the Pandavas and the Kauravas —but its scope goes far beyond just the war itself. 1. The Core Story (The Kurukshetra War) The Mahabharata tells the story of a dynastic struggle for the throne of the kingdom of Hastinapura . The two main families involved are: Pandavas : Five brothers—Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva—born to the King Pandu and his wives. Kauravas : The hundred sons of Dhritarashtra, the blind king of Hastinapura, led by the eldest son Duryodhana . The rivalry between the Pandavas and Kauravas escalates, eventually leading to the Kurukshetra War , a massive battle ...

THE BATH OF DEATH

THE BATH OF DEATH or what is also known as 'Senicide'. A common practice in India till to date especially in villages. Many questioned how is this cruel compared to euthanasia? Who do we blame? Can education alone solve the social issue?  What sickens me more is, they justify this sinful act saying it is the will of God. It has become a lucrative business in India.  Well, read on what exactly is done to elders by their own children who look at them as burden.  The body is massaged with coconut oil, castor and sesame oils, usually at dawn. After this, the person is given a cold bath and put to bed. The body temperature soon dips, often to a lethal extent. After 15 minutes, the person is made to drink a few glasses of tender coconut water and a glass of milk. This causes renal failure. In a day or two, the person catches a fever and dies. If the oil and coconut water failed, the person would be given a glass of mud mixed with water or a bun which will be forced down their t...
